FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
There’s just a couple of things you’LL WANT to know before booking:
-
Short answer: NO. Easy peasy. You can go through Yellowstone and Grand Teton’s entrance gates 24/7 without reservations. During the hours the gates are staffed, which is roughly 7am to 7pm, you can purchase your pass there at those gates. This interaction is quick and easy with a credit/debit card/or with cash there at the gate day of the tour. Surprisingly, purchasing through the online system in advance truly is less efficient than handling buying a pass the day of the tour or your first day going in either park. You can purchase a weekly or annual, or lifetime pass (Note for lifetime passes: if you’re disabled, can show your tribal ID, or if you’re active military or a veteran with an ID reflecting that status it’s free. And if you’re over 62 lifetime passes are $80)
-
Absolutely. Every tour we guide is built around what you want to see and do. Whether it’s focusing on capturing that perfect elk shot or exploring off-the-beaten-path spots, we listen closely and design your day together. Our guides have decades of experience spotting wildlife and sharing stories that bring the landscape alive just for you.
-
We recommend comfortable layers, sturdy walking shoes, and a sense of wonder. Tours last 4 hours with plenty of breaks for photos, wildlife watching, and soaking in the views. Our guides handle the logistics so you can focus on the moment—no rushed stops or crowded viewpoints, just your personal connection with the wild.
-
While we can’t promise exactly which animals you’ll encounter—that’s the wild’s charm—our guides know where to find the best spots for viewing and photographing wildlife safely and respectfully. We tailor each outing to your interests, whether that’s wolves, bears, or birds. Plus, we share tips on lighting, angles, and timing to help you capture memories that last.
-
Your safety and comfort are our top priorities. Our career guides are trained in wilderness first aid and know the parks inside and out. We move at a pace that suits your group, with regular rest stops and plenty of water. If you have any mobility concerns or specific needs, just let us know—we’re happy to accommodate.
-
We understand that plans can change. You can cancel or reschedule your tour up to 14 days before your booked date for a full refund. If something comes up last minute, get in touch—we’ll do our best to work something out. Our goal is to make your experience stress-free from start to finish.
